Be a Member – Join the Friends of Historic St. Mary’s City to become a member of the museum.  Membership fees directly support museum education, research and building programs.  Members have satisfaction in the knowledge that their contribution helps sustain the museum, and also enjoy special privileges such as invitations to members only events, discounts, and our insiders’ newsletter.

 

Be a Donor – It is through your generous tax-deductible donations that we are able to continue to fund the many education, research, and building programs and offer community activities here at the site of Maryland’s first capital. Our donor program allows you to give directly to a program you feel a personal connection towards or to support the general activities of the museum. For your convenience, we offer the opportunity for you to donate to the museum online.

 

Be a Sponsor – Our program and event sponsors are a close group of organizations that care about the quality of life in Maryland and know that supporting HSMC promotes this idea.  These businesses and organizations have given generously of both their time and money.

 

Be a Volunteer – Our volunteers share their talents and interests passionately with staff and visitors. In return they gain skills, friendships, and the satisfaction of knowing their contribution makes a big difference to our small organization. Volunteers have given tens of thousands of man hours to the betterment of the museum.

 

Visit Us – Throughout the year we offer many events that provide opportunities for all ages to learn more about and enjoy this beautiful historic site.  Attending an event is not only fun but is vital to the continued success of our living history museum.  Your admission fees help us keep Maryland history alive.
