SUMMARY:Homeschool Fridays – Who Were They and Who Are You? Workshop
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis workshop takes place at the Town Center. \nStudents will try their hand at writing with quill pens and learn about how to tools available shaped the way that people wrote.  Participants will look at genre paintings\, learn about symbolism\, and see reproduction artifacts that appear within the paintings.\nParticipants will have an opportunity to make their own portrait using 17th-century objects and symbols. \nDesigned for children ages 6 and older \n$10.00 per child ($8 for Friends members) \nIf signing up for multiple workshops\, each additional workshop is $7 per child ($5 for Friends members) \nThe workshop fee covers admission to the rest of the museum for the day. \nPayment in full is due at time of registration.  Contact the Public Programs office at (240) 895-4979\, or Groups@DigsHistory.org.  Space is limited. \nRegistration fees are non-refundable\, unless the program is canceled by Historic St. Mary’s City.  Workshops may be rescheduled\, depending upon program availability. \nParticipants are expected to practice appropriate social distancing\, including wearing a face covering\, and following any posted instructions.  All CDC guidelines and safety protocols will be in place.
